The overall look and artistic direction aim to build a persona behind each fragrance to reflect the scents and the characters that make them unique. Below is some of the work done showcasing a few fragrances.
Following a UX research process, benchmarks and consultations, I designed the user experience and interface of the Speak Scents website. I then built the first version within Webflow.
Later we decided to migrate the website into Shopify when launching the e-commerce. I designed the shopping flow and project managed the migration of the website into Shopify.
The website incorporates a matching flow that allows the users to find their match based on their preferences.
To introduce the Speak Scents range to consumers, I helped coordinate a unique collaboration event between Speak Scents and Zelati (a Wellington-based gelato shop).
The multi-sensory experience introduced the Speak fragrances each matched with a gelato flavour, a soundtrack and an artwork mixing AI and illustration by Taco, a Wellington-based illustrator and designer.
Following a PR and media preview, the event took place over one afternoon/evening. Upon arrival, customers were invited to complete the matching form on the Speak Scents website to discover their two matches. They could then taste, listen to, see and smell the fragrances.
Customers could add their own toppings to push the personalisation a bit further.
