What if, instead of acting like a charity, Women’s Refuge begin to behave more like an accommodation provider?
OVERVIEW
I helped produce an online campaign for Women’s Refuge called Safe Night. My role was to build and run the e-commerce platform where customers could “book a Safe Night”. Throughout the whole campaign, I was monitoring sales and traffic on the digital platforms.

Part of my ongoing role was to help the Women’s Refuge team with CRM issues in relation to the Safe Night campaign.

When Level Four lockdown was announced in New Zealand (full lockdown), we tripled our efforts to increase awareness and generate sales so we could better support those women who needed help. On social media, the community came together and initiated a nomination-based challenge for users to 'Buy a Safe Night and nominate three people to do the same'.

Email marketing
Some of the tasks included building the email templates and using Zapier (a platform that enables the integration of multiple web applications via APIs) as well as Mailchimp to send out automated and segmented mailing campaigns.
